There are two reasons to chuckle at the current situation with global warming. First, it’s because if you don’t have laugh at how ridiculous the national (Australian) and international ‘responses’ to this crisis are, you’d be forced to cry. Second, the denier are, well… laughable. Enjoy batch II (you can see batch I here).

Al Gore has really stepped in it this time. He could have spent the rest of his global warming career collecting money by spreading fear over events that were a century or at least half century in the future. Oh, but that wasn’t good enough for Big Al. He’s now told the biggest global warming whopper of his alarmist career:
AL GORE HAS GUARANTEED THAT THE NORTHERN POLAR ICE CAP WILL BE COMPLETELY GONE IN FIVE YEARS!!!
When I heard this I assumed it was a rumor started by skeptics to make Gore look bad. It wasn’t until I viewed the video that I realized what Gore had done. Gore has started a five year credibility countdown timer ticking and it’s up to all of us to make sure that he is held accountable and proven to be a fraud when his dire prediction aimed at drumming up support doesn’t come close to coming true.
The mainstream media isn’t going to let this video see the light of day because they, unlike Al, understand the precarious position in which he has placed himself.
It is therefore up to us to spread the word about Big Al’s prediction. He must be exposed for the fear mongering opportunist that he has become.

The stategy employed by Thelma and Louise in the movie of the same name and the pursuit by a duplicitous leadership tandem of a fool’s errand in Iraq.
In both cases moral authority appears to be the only enemy to be vanquished.

Gallows humour is a reliable human response to tragedy. The positive thing is that for the humour to work, and the tension in the joke to be released (through laughter) the facts of the matter must be agreed and understood by the audience. The fact that the audience is growing points to a growing understanding of the realities. The denialists, incidentally, seem to be a peculiarly humourless bunch.

I suspect he said “during the summer months” as part of his prediction about the Arctic icecap and that ties in with the range of timeframes (2013) given by the scientists. The video appears to be truncated (edited)and it is difficult to hear exactly what he said, as the German translation is played over his speech.

Global warming alarmists, it seems, stay well away from the facts and just make fun of anyone trying to take an objective view of the situation.

You obviously haven’t read any of the “facts”, or listened to the series of lectures, on this excellent blog. Unfortunately the pseudo-sceptics are the ones with their fingers in their ears singing “La La La -can’t hear you”.
Otherwise they would have realised that the problem of AGW/CC is very real and very dangerous to all life on Earth.
